Case di Palù offers single beds in a shared room and bathroom, with the possibility of disabled access. The structure consists of an apartment in which there are two rooms with two beds each ; it’s possible to book 1 bed (mixed shared room and shared bathroom), 2 beds (exclusive room and shared bathroom), 4 beds (entire apartment for exclusive use).

The location is inside a Liberty-style villa of the early 1900s with a large park with relax areas available to the guests; the house is located in the center of Settimo Vittone, a town with all services, located at the foot of the Aosta Valley, only 3 minutes away from the highway exit. From Settimo Vittone it is possible to reach Aosta in 40 minutes by car, in 50 minutes the Mont Blanc and in Gran San Bernardo, in 50 minutes Turin, in just over 60 minutes Milan, in 90 minutes Genoa with the Ligurian sea.

Settimo Vittone is crossed by the Via Francigena and the house is located on the same old street; with just 15 minutes by car you can visit the beautiful city of Ivrea (Unesco heritage for 'industrial city of the twentieth century’) with its lakes and the Carnival, the Fort of Bard, the 'heroic' vines of Donnas, Carema and Settimo (Unesco heritage for 'art of dry stone walls'), the Parella Castle, the Montalto D’ora Castle and the Masino Castle.

Settimo Vittone

Settimo Vittone is a pretty town on the border of the Piedmont Region, in the heart of the natural morainic amphitheater of the Canavese area. Located at the foot of the mountains, the small town enjoys an exclusive micro-climate that allows the grow of vines and olive trees. The hilly and mountainous nature of Settimo Vittone has led over the centuries to the exploitation of the earth as a primary resource for people, with the consequent presence of numerous typical local products (cheese, wine, oil, cured meats, etc.) and a natural territory. Equipped with all the services, Settimo Vittone is known in the Canavese area for being a center with numerous restaurants offering typical products.Spectacular is the ancient San Lorenzo parish, with its ancient baptistery of the 9th century overlooks the town.

The paleochristian complex formed by the parish church of San Lorenzo and the baptistery - with an octagonal plan - of San Giovanni Battista in Settimo Vittone, represents one of the oldest vestiges of Canavese, dating back to the second half of the ninth century, one of the main examples of pre-Romanesque architecture " in Piedmont. Montestrutto Castle stands on a hill close to the Dora Baltea near a 9th century tower defending a Benedictine monastery. In the 11th century it belonged to the Counts of Ivrea until the mid-13th century.

In recent years our area of Canavese has become an important center for those who practice outdoor sports; from the walks and rides of the Via Francigena and the 5 Lakes you go to the Canoe and Kayak to be practiced on the Dora Baltea, Paragliding with departures from Monte Cavallaria and Andrate, climbing and horse riding under the fabulous scenery of the Rocks of Montestrutto.

SETTIMO VITTONE SO CLOSE TO THE AOSTA VALLEY MOUNTAINS

The peaks of Mombarone (2,371 m) of Bec Renon (2,265 m) Monte Gregorio (1,953 m) overlook us and can be reached on foot on leaving the house; for lovers of mountain excursions the local path network is practically unlimited and we are close to the Alta Via della Valle d'Aosta and the GTA-Grande Traversata Alpi. Valchiusell can be a great surprise for those looking for rural mountain locations with a strong identity culinary; the spectacular Aosta Valley has one of the most beautiful mountain areas in the Alps and during the winter the nearby Monte Rosa ski area (30 minutes by car) will allow you to practice alpine skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

The historic route that starts from Canterbury (UK) to Rome for about 1,800 km owes its fame to the story of the Archbishop Sigerico who traveled the pilgrimage route in the tenth century, describing meticulously environments and countries encountered. The long path can be traveled on foot, by bike, on horseback and to a large extent also accessible to people with disabilities; the Canavese route offers its hikers some of the most beautiful landscapes on the entire Via. Ivrea and Pont Saint Martin are the closest stopping points and our reality is located on the track, halfway between the two towns.

The city of Ivrea has been included in the world heritage as an 'industrial city of the twentieth century'; this title, unique in the world, confirms the historical importance that the Olivetti company of Ivrea has represented for many decades, as a world leader in the production of typewriters and computers as well as for the modern and innovative vision that the Olivetti family has had both from the point of view of industrial and civil architectural development and above all in the conception of an ecosystem of work with man and his life needs at the center. In Ivrea you can visit countless sites and museums that testify to the past industrial era.

IVREA AND ITS HISTORICAL CARNIVAL WITH THE ORANGES BATTLE

The historic city carnival is one of the main events of its kind at a national level that every year brings thousands of people from all over Italy and from Europe, between the end of February and the beginning of March, to experience the events of a week in which Ivrea is colorful with colored banners and wrapped in an intoxicating orange scent. Very famous for the spectacular and bloody battle of oranges that takes place for three days in the main city squares; starting on Shrove Thursday we go down to the street with the characteristic Phrygian cap which represents adhesion to revolt and aspiration for freedom.

BETWEEN NATURE AND ARCHEOLOGY THE FIVE LAKES OF THE GREENHOUSE of ivrea

For lovers of nature and walks, the wonderful area called "Five lakes of the Serra di Ivrea" opens on the hills close to Ivrea; territory of considerable archaeological, geological and naturalistic interest where dozens of km of paths and dirt roads branch off on foot on horseback or by bicycle, in a lush hilly environment rich in lakes, woods and lakes; noteworthy are the famous Terre Ballerine.
